Founded in 1914 by William H. Brady in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the initial success of promotional color photo calendars and elaborate promotional signage, propelled Brady's success into wartime production throughout the 1940s. Fulfilling the demand to clearly identify wires on ships, self-adhesive pre-printed wire markers were produced to help visibility on 100+ degree landing strips and subzero temperatures found in high altitudes. After the war, Brady would expand operations to Canada, Mexico, the U.K., eventually going public in 1984.
